Here at The George Ward Centre, as well as providing many bespoke activities, we also hold a variety of regular events/classes scheduled for specific days and times, many of which are held on a weekly basis. Detailed below are some of our most popular regular events/classes. Yoga (Wednesday 7 - 8.30pm)

The Course is designed for all levels of student including those new to yoga and experienced practitioners.

     Each course focuses on a theme which will be developed over the series of classes and will

     also include a short  period of meditation at the end of each class.

    The class is taught in such a way that it is accessible

    to beginners and offers 'options' when it comes to more challenging poses.


Silvers Art (Thursday 10 - 12pm)


Beginners upwards no age limit male or female. A variety of art, water colours & acrylics.

You can choose what you'd like to paint, if your interested no booking necessary 

only £2 per session just turn up on the day.



Table Tennis Match Play (Thursday 7 - 9pm)


Age group 11 upwards These sessions are for both young players improving their skills

and for established or former league players who wish to return to playing Table Tennis

Newcomers always welcome. £2.50 per session

St Johns Ambulance (Monday 5.30 - 9pm) 

Teaching vital First Aid Skills to adult volunteers, who then go

out and support local events, carnivals, sports matches etc.

To provide first aid as required. We also teach youth programmes,

Badgers 7 - 10yrs & Cadets 10 - 18yrs if you are interested

 Yoga & Meditation

(Tuesday 9.30 - 11am)

Hayley is an Akhanda Yoga teacher, with a passion for sharing the

traditional Practice of Yoga. Her classes leave you feeling lighter,

brighter, calmer, more energised & blissful.

The class is 90 minutes of yoga which is suitable for begginers & regular practioners alike.

Expect to have at least 15 - 20 minutes of relaxation with a guided meditation

at the end of the class to leave you feeling blissed up!

£7 for 1 class £30 for 5 classes (purchased at the start of the 5 week course).

(Monday 7.15pm - 8pm Wednesday 7.15 - 8pm Friday 6.15 - 7pm)

First Session £7 (includes glow sticks with batteries) ruseable glow sticks. £3.50 a session thereafter.

Family Clubbercise


(Monday 6.15 - 7pm Friday 5.15 - 6pm)

Children's Classes and family U18 with a parent or guardian £1.50 per child.

Fun, easy-to-follow dance fitness routines

 using rave glow sticks to club anthems from

90′s classics to the latest chart hits taught

 in a darkened room with disco lights.
