As well as a great team of volunteers, the centre has a core team of staff that keeps the centre running smoothly and can be contacted with your enquiries.

The board of trustees are elected persons that have over all responsibility for ensuring the centre keeps on the path intended.



Chairman - Diane Jenkinson,                      I moved to Barwell in 1976 with my husband Neil Jenkinson. Both my children were born & raised

                                                                        in Barwell. I care passionately about Barwell & the people who live here. I have been a Beaver leader,

                                                                        I have also been on the Barwell carnival committee before early retirement I was a matrimonial lawyer.

                                                                        Not only am I a trustee here I'm  a volunteer in the coffee shop & at the Citizens Advice Bureau.


Board Member Ken Barsby,                        local businessman involved in earlier bids to ‘save the cedar  His personal objectives are

                                                                       to provide a sustainable community centre which residents can feel proud to use.


Board Member Melvin Pratt,                      A General Manager within the construction service and maintenance sector with extensive

                                                                       experience in HR and running a small business, he is Health & Safety trained with a vision to assisting in

                                                                       generating growth to the centre through the business model, he is also involved in, and motivated by

                                                                       various projects  being planned for the future sustainability of the centre.


Board Member Rev. PhiIip Watson           I am the local Church of England Parish Priest, and have a number of years experience in serving 

                                                                      local communities including time as a Charity Trustee. I hope to this bring this experience to the management

                                                                       of the centre as it servers the people of Barwell and the surrounding area.
