Come and join our Tots group every Wednesday morning from 9AM, we are a very friendly group and have a wide variety of toys for all ages, we also hold special events e.g. easter, pancake day and so on. visit our tots time Facebook page for more info....
Every Wednesday we have the chatty café held in our café from 10.30am come along to chat and get interacting with new people.
At the George ward centre we have our own café called Bev's place where we sell hot and cold drinks, toast, toasted teacakes and a wide variety other confectionary at reasonable prices. we have a television, jigsaw table and a book case full of books so why not pop in and meet our team. A warm welcome and a smile awaits you.
The George ward centre would like to thank Julie Holdsworth for her continuous donation of jigsaws. we have a jigsaw table located in our café area so weather you like to just put a few pieces in or have a sit for a while with a hot drink why not pop down and help us complete it. Any donations of jigsaws would be appreciated.
The hall of friendship is our biggest room that will seat around 230 people theatre style or can be set up with table and chairs, this room is usually used for birthday party's or sports but has been know to be used for wedding receptions.
This room is designed to seat around 40 people theatre style but can also be set up with tables and chairs.
The Emily Hayden room is a spacious room with lots of natural light and can seat around 100 people theatre style, or can be set up with tables and chairs to suit.
The meeting rooms can be used as one or two rooms and is dressed with tables and chairs for small groups of people or meetings for around 20 people.
The I.T room can be used for small groups of people or meetings for around 25 to 30 people theatre style or can be set with tables and chairs this room has a smart board and a projector that can be used.
The coffee shop area can be used to simply come along and have hot drink and a chat or to relax read a book or watch the tv.
MANAGER
Lesley Pratt is the Manager of the team, she is responsible for ensuring the team is organized and productive and that the George ward centre is ran to a high standard.

Callum Bird keeps the building running smoothly and keeps the gardens looking nice, always happy to help.

Mathew Hulbert is the centre co-ordinator and deals with our social media platforms.

Hannah bird is one of our volunteers she runs our tots group along with other groups always happy to help.

The next Barwell Family Lunch Club takes place later this month over at the Methodist Church. Tickets are available here at the Centre.
